Restaurants in Vang Vieng

Out of town

  • Fluid – Has a great range of BBQ, Mediterranean, vegetarian, Laos and Thai dishes, enjoy eating from the rooftop, river terrace or beach front.
  • Yongu’s Farm – On the way to Tam Lom this restaurant is surrounded by a plush garden and vegetable patches. The menu has a fine selection of Korean and Lao food.
  • Organic Farm/Organic Farm Cafe – With the restaurant/farm 5km north of town, its well worth the trip. If you can’t make it to the farm try the fresh food in town.

 

In town

  • Night Markets: there are a few local stall points in town one is located on the airfield just 100m from the ATM. The others are close to the temples on the main street running north out of town.
  • Dog meat restaurant – Never tried dog? Well now’s your chance, BBQ or in a soup, both delicious!!
  • Mamma Lao’s – A great range of Lao/Thai and western food, say hi to mamma!!
  • Mamma Sababa – Mamma Sababa is always warm and friendly! She has some tasty falafel, kebabs, salads, super tea and free wifi as well as a Great view!
  • Sompuu – Lao style BBQ (Sin Daad) with a large range of other Lao dishes and music.
  • Fasai Restaurant – Situated on the other side of the airfield just 300m from the centre of Vang Vieng, Fasai is a favourite for all the locals to go, especially on the weekend. With Loa/Thai music and a wide range of delicious dishes it's a great place to eat.
  • The Moon Restaurant – Just 1km out of Vang Vieng town south towards Vientiane, 'Suwan the Moon' has a huge space for dining, so if you want to get out of town with a group of friends this is a great spot. The Laos food here is fantastic, and there are Tiger/Namkhong beer girls at your service.
  • Phai Kham Restaurant – As you walk onto the airfield from the town side take a right, walk past the small market and you'll see PhaiKham. This place was reccomended to us by quite a few locals, who if there looking for some delicious dishes in a quiet place will often come here. Highly recommended.
  • Viva Vang Vieng Steakhouse – Missing some quality home style food? At the Steakhouse they have traditional stone oven pizzas with mozarella, fajitas served on sizzling pans and the best steak in Vang Vieng. Free pool and wifi also!!

  • Central Backpackers - Great selection of Vegetarian pizza's and local vegetarian delights!
  • Nisha Indian Restaurant - Not only the best Indian food in town, but a great variety of vegetarian dishes
  • Fluid - A variety of healthy salads, dips with garnishes and vegetarian main courses are available at Fluid, and if you have any other dietary requirements we can adapt our menu.
  • Mamma Sababa - A wide selection of vegetarian foods as well as the best humous in town.
