- Phongsavan Bungalows
Located only 400 m from the centre of Vang Vieng, set in a quiet neighborhood, close to lots of great Laos restaurants and a sauna. There are plenty of plants and trees surrounding the bungalows which back onto rice paddys behind, with great views of the mountains. There are hammocks set around the garden for each room, free wifi, pool, ping pong and boule for all guests. The restaurant is also open in the morning for breakfast. This is one of the best spots to stay in Vang Vieng.

Situated just 200m from the town centre of Vang Vieng, Sengkeo Guesthouse has some quality rooms for just 50, 000 kip. The beds are comfortable, rooms clean and the garden is spectacular. The owner's English is perfect and he knows a plethora of information about Vang Vieng and the surrounding area, especially if you want to volunteer.

- Yong-gu's Place
Set on an Organic Farm with mud house dorms, a peacful and vibrant garden. Pick your own vegetables from his organic range; there's a great ,mix of Lao and Korean food. If you're looking to do some volunteering ask Yong-gu. If you want to stay outside of Vang Vieng town centre, close to the river and in a natural spot then this is a nice retreat.

- Indavong
Just 1km from the Bus Station on the way to Tam Lom, and a short walk down to the river. Indavong Guesthouse has a plush new swimming pool available for all guests, you can enjoy gazing at the mountains while floating in the water. There's not so many swimming pools in Vang Vieng so for the price of this place, its a bargain. The rooms are new, super clean, fit with TV and hot shower.
